8 <br /> <br />Engineering staff has established the following OCI categories to describe the conditions of the <br />roadways: <br /> Adequate – Overall Condition Index (OCI) 70.01 – 100.00 <br /> Marginal – Overall Condition Index (OCI) 40.01 – 70.00 <br /> Problem – Overall Condition Index (OCI) 0.00 – 40.00 <br />Photographs of representative road sections for each OCI category are included as Figure 3. Additional <br />photos can be found in Appendix F . <br />EXISTING ROADWAY PAVEMENT CONDITIONS <br />Most of the roadway system at this time is in f air condition, but it is approaching a critical stage meaning <br />it is approaching a stage in which a reconstruction is needed . The average city standard (a) roadway is 20 <br />years old and has been sealcoated at least once. The average non -standa rd (b) roadway is 30 years old <br />and has undergone either a seal coat or cold in place recycle :AA AbreakdownAofAtheACity’sAroadwayAoverallA <br />condition is: <br />Overall Condition Index Mileage Percent of System <br />Adequate Category – 70.01 – 100.00 69.26 miles 72.5 % <br />Marginal Category – 40.01 – 70.00 13.77 miles 14.4 % <br />Problem Category – 0.00 – 40.00 12.57 miles 13.1 % <br /> <br />(a) “Standard roadway” means a roadway within the City of Lino Lakes, which is in <br />general conforma nce with the City standard as set forth in Section 302 of the City <br />Code. They are commonly recognized as having a properly graded hard surface <br />with normal crowns, width, strength, acceptable drainage systems and concrete <br />curb and gutter on both sides. <br />(b) “No n -standard roadway” means a roadway located in the City of Lino Lakes, which <br />is not in general conformance with the City standards as set forth in Section 302 of <br />the City Code. They are commonly recognized as lacking a critical component <br />such as strength, adequate drainage or concrete curb and gutter but may have <br />some of all of these or other components. <br /> <br />Appendix A is a map of all City roadways showing their OCI classification. The specific OCI rating for <br />each roadway segment is contained in Appendix B. <br /> <br /> <br />
