1st Reading: July 9, 2018 <br />Publication: <br />July 31 <br />, <br />201 8 <br />2nd Reading: July 23, 2018 <br />Effective: <br />August <br />31 <br />, 2018 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 09-18 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 1007 RELATED TO <br />PARKING REGULATIONS FOR ACCESSORY OUTDOOR DINING <br />OR SEATING FACILITIES <br />The City Council of Lino Lakes ordains: <br />Section 1. Findings. The City Council finds that when outdoor dining or seating facilities are <br />accessory to a restaurant, they shall have regulations for off-street parking based on the <br />additional seating provided by the outdoor area. The development of parking regulations for <br />outdoor dining and seating areas are in the best interests of the city to ensure additional off-street <br />parking will be provided, alleviate or prevent congestion of the public right-of-way and to <br />promote the safety and general welfare of the public. <br />Section 2. Amendment. Lino Lakes City Code Section 1007.054(2)(h) is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br />(h) When the outdoor dining/seating is accessory to a restaurant, additional off street parking <br />shall be require s Ordinance, based <br />(h) Additional Off -Street Parking: <br />1. For accessory outdoor dining/seating areas that are 500 square feet or less in size, <br />no additional off-street parking spaces shall be required. <br />2. For accessory outdoor dining/seating areas that are greater than 500 square feet in <br />size, one (1) additional parking space for every 100 square feet of outdoor dining <br />area in excess of the first 500 square feet shall be required. <br />
