Subpart a. was amended to clarify that boulevard trees are required in new residential <br />subdivisions. <br /> <br />Subpart b. establishes the rate of planting. Single family and two family lots require one tree per <br />frontage. All other resident ial properties are subject to 1 tree per 70 lineal feet. <br /> <br />Subpart c. Trees are required to be planted within 14 feet of the curb/pavement line or as <br />determined by the City Forester. <br /> <br />Subpart d. Allows for City planting of boulevard trees and establishment of standard tree fee. <br /> <br />Section 8. Sod and Ground Cover <br /> <br />The section establishes the requirement for ground cover including top soil and sodding. Allows <br />for seeding in lieu of sod under certain cases which include single family and two -family home <br />constr uction. Also includes exception to sod/seed requirements for future expansion areas, <br />mulched areas and native planting areas. <br /> <br />Section 9. General Landscaping Standards. <br /> <br />Subpart a. was inserted regarding the requirement for landscaping. <br /> <br />Subpart b. w as inserted to clarify that a landscaping plan is required for Commercial, industrial <br />public/semi -public, institutional and multi -family uses. <br /> <br />Subparts c through k were renumbered. <br /> <br />Subpart l. was inserted to require irrigation in commercial, industrial a nd institutional property <br />landscaped areas . <br /> <br />Sections 10 through 17 were renumbered. <br /> <br /> <br />Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council on August 26, 2013 <br /> <br />This is a summary of the adopted ordinance.
