This approval <br />included Resolution 03-60approving a PUD Development Stage Plan/Preliminary Plat. The site <br />has not been developed, but the owner is still interested in pursuing the project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Century Farm North project received planned unit development (PUD) and preliminary plat <br />approval in 2003 with Resolution No. 03-60.APUD developmentstage plan must be followed <br />by the PUD final plan application within twelve months. Similarly, a final plat must be <br />submitted within one year of the preliminary plat approval. <br />th <br />The City Council approved the final plan/final plat of the Century Farm North 5Addition in <br />March of 2011. The city’s Subdivision and Platting Ordinance requires the final plat for <br />subsequent phases be submitted within one year of approval of the final plat for the previous <br />th <br />phase.The City Council approved an extension for the 6Addition through Resolution 13-33 <br />and the deadline for submission of the final plan/final platisOctober 1, 2013. <br />Due to the widespread slowdown in development in the region, the developer was not able to <br />meet the deadlines for submittal of the final plan/plat. The developer has asked for another <br />extension. A PUD can be extended for period of six months under the zoning ordinance. The <br />current recommendation is to extend the deadline to April 1, 2014. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 13-96granting an extension of time for submittal of the PUD Final <br />th <br />Plan/Final Plat for Century Farm North 6Addition. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.Resolution No. 13-96 <br /> <br />
