CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3H <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Karissa Bartholomew, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: November 13, 2018 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Appointment of Community Development Intern <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Monika Mann to the Community <br />Development Intern position. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Previous Community Development Intern Ryan Saltis, resigned in October. At this time, staff <br />has completed the recruitment process, provided a conditional offer, and is recommending <br />approval of Ms. Mann for the Community Development Intern position. <br /> <br />Ms. Mann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management and <br />has experience in community planning as a student consultant for the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />The hourly rate of pay would be $12. This position would work 29 hours a week. With the <br />Council’s approval, Ms. Mann would begin in the position of Community Development Intern <br />on November 26, 2018. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve the appointment of Monika Mann for the Community Development Intern position. <br />
