5 <br /> <br />proposed. <br />8. The proposed amendments are consistent with the Economic Development goals in <br />Chapter 6 of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br />9. Future development will implement the I-35E Corridor Alternative Urban Areawide <br />Review (AUAR) and updates as necessary. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Board <br /> <br />The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing and reviewed the request at their October <br />10, 2018 regular meeting. <br /> <br />The Board was supportive of request and voted 7-0 in to approve with the findings of fact noted <br />in the resolution. <br /> <br />There was no one present who spoke at the public hearing. However, later in the evening Mr. <br />John Houle, owner of property along 80th Street, spoke and asked if the change in land use would <br />allow him to install a billboard on his property. Staff noted that off-premise advertising signs <br />(billboards) are not permitted anywhere in the City. <br /> <br />EDAC <br /> <br />The Economic Development Advisory Committee recommended approval at their November 1, <br />2018 meeting. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the of I-35E Corridor Comprehensive Plan Amendments. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
