CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.19-13 <br />APPROVING CONTRACT WITH NORTHLAND RECREATION INC. FOR <br />SUNRISE PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the playground at Sunrise Park was installed in 1998 and is need of <br />replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Park Board recommended the Sunrise Park playground equipment be <br />replaced as part of the 2018 Parks and Trails Capital Projects Program; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending entering into a contract with Northland Recreation, <br />Inc. via Sourcewell (formerly NJPA). Sourcewell is a public corporation serving as a <br />municipal contracting agency for government and education agencies. Sourcewell serves <br />member agencies under the legislative authority established and granted by Minnesota <br />Statute 123A.21; and <br />WHEREAS, Sourcewell fulfills the competitive solicitation and contract process <br />required of governmental agencies; and <br />WHEREAS, recommended funding is from the Park and Trail Improvement Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council hereby authorizes staff to <br />enter into a contract with Northland Recreation Inc. in the amount of $95,000 for the <br />design, equipment, border, safety surface, and installation of the Sunrise Park Playground <br />Project. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 28t' day of January, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maher, Sloe z,,Rafferty, Manthey, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />Juli e Bartell, Ci CIA - <br />and <br />
