CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 5D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />MEETING DATE: January 28, 2019 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No.19-15, Ordering the Project, <br />Approving Plans and Specifications, and Authorizing Advertisement <br />of Bids for the Woods Edge Park Project, Rick DeGardner <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3I5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Council consideration to order the project, approve the plans and <br />specifications, and authorizing advertisement for bids for the Woods Edge Park Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Woods Edge Park is a neighborhood park adjacent to the YMCA on Regional Park property. <br />This park creates a more "natural" type feel that aesthetically fits with the natural surroundings. <br />Attached is the master plan that was approved by the Park Board in October, 2017. <br />The schedule for this project is as follows: <br />City Council Order Project, Authorizes Plans and Spec's January 28, 2019 <br />City Council Approves Plans and Specifications January 28, 2019 <br />City Council Authorizes Ad for Bids January 28, 2019 <br />City Open Bids February 28, 2019 <br />City Council Awards Contract March 11, 2019 <br />Substantial Completion June 28, 2019 <br />The City received $283,400 in Dedicated Park Funds for the Woods Edge Development. The <br />recommended funding is from the Dedicated Parks Fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 19-15. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
