CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-25 <br />Authorizing a One Year Contract Extension with Simple Recycling <br />WHEREAS, Simple Recycling is skilled and experienced in the collection and efficient <br />recycling and disposition of Soft Recyclables; and <br />WHEREAS, Lino Lakes desires to limit and restrict the quantity of Soft Recyclables which <br />are deposited in the landfill; and <br />WHEREAS, Lino Lakes had selected Simple Recycling in 2018 to collect, identify, haul, <br />recycle and/or dispose of Soft Recyclables in Lino Lakes' Service Area; and <br />WHEREAS, Simple Recycling provided such service in 2018 and is in the business of and <br />has the expertise, experience, resources and capability to perform the collecting, identifying, <br />packaging, hauling, recycling and/or disposing of Soft Recyclables; and <br />WHERAS, Simple Recycling collected 6.46 tons of textile recycling at residential curbside <br />service for residents of Lino Lakes, and compensated the City $20 per ton for the collected items in <br />2018; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that <br />the City enter into a renewed contract with Simple Recycling for 2019. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 2 5 day of Feb , 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council Member Rafferty and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maher, Rafferty, Stoesz, Manthey, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />Juli .nne Bartell, ity �k - <br />
