-6- <br />SECTION VII SETBACK LINES <br />A setback line shall be shown on each lot in every subdivision <br />hereafter recorded in the Village of Lino Lakes. This line shall be <br />at least thirty (30) feet from the property line and shall be con- <br />tinuous around each entire block. <br />SECTION VII. ALLEYS AND CROSS -WALKS <br />The length of any block in a subdivision shall be not more than one <br />thousand, three hundred twenty (1,320) feet. The use of cross -walks <br />through any block or the placing of alleys in any block is to be per- <br />mitted only when absolutely necessary in the opinion of the Village <br />Council. <br />SECTION IX. SOIL TESTS <br />The Village Council may require soil tests prior to the final approval <br />of any plat. These soil tests shall consist of test holes to a depth <br />necessary to determine the various types of soil to be encountered <br />before reaching a stable base. Such test holes when ordered by the <br />Village authorities, shall be drilled at the expense of the owner or <br />developer and the information disclosed shall be furnished to the <br />Village Council together with a copy of the proposed plat showing the <br />location of each test hole. The information required by the Village <br />Council shall include a report as to various types of soil encountered <br />and their depths, the level of the ground water and a seepage test, <br />and may include additional information. The number of test holes to <br />be drilled and their location on the property which is proposed to <br />be platted, will be as directed by the Village Council or their <br />authorized representatives. In questionable cases, the owner shall be <br />required to furnish to the Village Council a report from a recognized <br />engineering laboratory as to the safety and practicability of the use <br />of the area for building construction, including the frasibility for <br />installation of sewage facilities. <br />SECTION X. CUL-DE-SAC <br />Cul-de-sacs, when used, shall be held to as short as distance as possible <br />between the origin or main street and the end of the cul-de-sac. Each <br />cul-de-sac shall have a terminus of nearly circular shape with a <br />minimum diameter of one hundred (100) feet. <br />SECTION XI. HALF WIDTH STREETS <br />The use of half width streets shall be prohibited, except where essen- <br />tial to the reasonable development of the subdivision in conformity <br />with the other requirements of these regulations and the overall plan <br />of the neighborhood in which the plat is situated. Wherever a half <br />street is adjacent to a tract to be subdivided, the other half of the <br />street shall be platted within such tract. <br />SECTION XII RESERVED STRIPS <br />Reserved strips controlling access to streets is prohibited. <br />
