9it 1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 24A <br />VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A FIRE PREVENTION CODE, PRESCRIBING <br />REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY <br />FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION <br />THEREOF, AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.24, EFFECTIVE MAY 14, 1959. <br />The Village Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, <br />ordains: <br />Section 1. Adoption of Fire Prevention Code. <br />There is hereby adopted by the Village Council of the Village <br />of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, for the purpose of prescribing <br />regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and <br />property from fire or explosion, that certain code known <br />as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the National Board <br />of Fire Underwriters, being particularly the 1960 edition <br />thereof and the whole thereof, as same may be amended from <br />time to time in the future, save and except such portions as <br />are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended (by Section 4 of <br />the ordinance), of which code not less than one (1) copy has <br />been and now is in the office of the Village Clerk -Treasurer <br />of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, and the same are <br />hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at <br />length herein, and from the date on which this ordinance shall <br />take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling <br />within the limits of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />Section 2. Duties of Fire Marshal. <br />a. The Fire Prevention Code shall be enforced by the Fire <br />Marshal of the Village of Lino Lakes. <br />b. The Fire Marshal may detail such members of the fire <br />department as inspectors as shall from time to time be <br />necessary. <br />c. A report of the Fire Marshal shall be made annually and <br />transmitted to the Village Council; it shall contain all <br />„araceadiugs under this=erode, with as 'the— <br />Fire Marshal may wish to include therein; the Fire Marshal <br />shall also recommend any amendments to the code which, in his <br />judgment, shall be desirable. <br />Section 3. Definitions. <br />a. Whenever the word "Municipality" is used in the Fire <br />Prevention Code, it shall be held to mean the Village of <br />Lino Lakes. <br />b. Whenever the term "Corporation Counsel" is used in the <br />Fire Prevention Code, it shall be held to mean the Attorney <br />for the Village of Lino Lakes. <br />c.
