access to a public alley or street. Such driveway access shall not <br /> exceed twenty-six (26) feet in width and shall be so located as to <br /> cause the least interference with traffic movement. <br /> (B) Calculating space-when determining the number of off-street parking <br /> spaces required results in a fraction, each fraction of one-half <br /> N or more shall constitute another space. <br /> (C) Surfacing and drainage-off-street parking areas shall be improved <br /> with a durable and dustless surface. Such areas shall be so graded <br /> and drained as to dispose of,:all surface water accumulation within <br /> the area. These requirements shall also apply to open sales lots. <br /> Durable and dustless surface may include crushed rock and similar <br /> treatment for parking accessory to one, two, three, and four-unit <br /> residential structures; all other uses shall utilize asphalt, con- <br /> crete, or other surface, (water sealed) as approved by the Engineer <br /> or Building Inspector. <br /> (D) Lighting-any lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area <br /> shall be arranged as to reflect the light away from the adjoining <br /> property. <br /> (E) Curbing and landscaping-all open off-street parking area designed to <br /> have head-in parking along the property line shall have a guard of <br /> normal bumper height not less than five (5) feet from the side property <br /> line. When said area is for six (6) spaces or more, a curb or fence <br /> not over six (6) feet in height shall be erected along the front yard <br /> set-back line and grass or planting shall occupy the space between <br /> the sidewalk and curb or fence. (The Planning & Zoning Commission may <br /> recommend continuous coniferous planting in lieu of fencing.) <br /> (F) Parking space for six (6) or more cars-when a required off-street <br /> parking space for six (6) cars or more is located adjacent to a <br /> Residential District, a fence of adequate and approved design, not <br /> over six (6) feet in height nor less than five (5) feet in height <br /> shall be erected along the Residential District property line. (The <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission may recommend continuous coniferous <br /> planting in lieu of fencing.) <br /> (G) Maintenance of off-street parking space-it shall be the joint resp- <br /> onsibility of the operator and owner of the principal use, uses and/ <br /> or building to maintain, in a neat and adequate manner, the parking <br /> space, accessways, landscaping and required fences. <br /> (H) Access-all off-street parking spaces shall have access off driveways <br /> and not directly off the public street. <br /> 7.06 TRUCK PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS <br /> No motor vehicle exceeding a gross capacity of 7000 pounds shall be <br /> parked or stored in a residential district except when loading, unloading, <br /> or rendering a service. <br /> -49- <br />
