4 II <br />iNOMMIWORDINANCE NO. ( / <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY. <br />The Village Council of Lino Lakes ordains: <br />Section 1. Establishment: The Lino Lakes Commission on Environmental Quality <br />is hereby established. <br />Section 2. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a commission <br />which will aid and be advisory to the Village Council of the Village of Lino <br />Lakes in its efforts to encourage productive and enjoyable harmony between man <br />and his environment; to promote efforts which will prevent or eliminate damage <br />to the environment and stimulate the health and welfare of man; to enrich the <br />understanding of the ecological systems and natural resources important to the <br />Village; and to insure a lasting quality of life within the Village of Lino <br />Lakes. <br />Section 3. Definitions: <br />A. "Village". As used in this ordinance, "Village" refers to the <br />Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />B. "Commission". As used in this ordinance, "Commission" refers to <br />the Lino Lakes Commission on Environmental Quality. <br />C. "Council" or "Village Council". As used in this ordinance, <br />"Council" or "Village Council" refers to the Village Council of the <br />Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />Section 4. Short Title: The Commission created and established by this <br />ordinance may be referred to as the Lino Lakes Commission on Environmental <br />Quality. <br />Section 5. Composition: The Commission shall consist of five members. Each <br />member of the Commission shall be a resident of the Village of Lino. Lakes. <br />Section 6. Appointment and Compensation of Members: The members of the <br />Commission shall be appointed by the mayor and approved by a majority of the <br />Council and shall serve without compensation. <br />Section 7. Terms of Office: The members of the Commission shall be appointed <br />for terms of two years. The Commission shall have three members whose terms <br />shall expire at the next even numbered year ending after their appointment and <br />two members whose terms shall expire at the next odd numbered year after <br />their appointment. <br />
