ORDINANCE NO. 57 <br />VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STAM OF MINNESOTA <br />OR ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO A MUNICIPAL SEWER SYSTEM. <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, <br />DOES HEREBY ORDIAN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM <br />SECTION 1. General Operation. The Village of Lino Lakes (hereinafter called <br />the Village) municipal sanitary sewer system shall be operated as a public utility <br />and convenience from which revenues will be derived, subject to the provisions of <br />this section. <br />SECTION 2. Connections With Sewer Required. Any buildings used for human <br />habitation or for human occupancy, including all business buildings, unless <br />specifically exempted by the Village Council on the grounds that no human beings <br />occupy or use such buildings and no sewage wates are generated therein, located <br />on property adjacent to a sewer main, or in a block through which the system <br />extends, shall be connected to the municipal sanitary sewer system within one (1) <br />year from the time a connection is available to any such property. <br />A-1 buildings hereafter constructed within the Village on property adjacent <br />to a sewer main or in a block through which the system extends, shall be provided <br />with a connection to the municipal sanitary sewer system for the disposal of all <br />human wastes. <br />SECTION 3. Supervision. The Village Plumbing Inspector shall supervise all <br />house sewer connections made to the municipal sanitary sewer system and all ex- <br />cavations for the purpose of installing or repairing the same. <br />SECTION 4. Permits, Licenses, Fees, Bond and Insurance. <br />(1) Any person desiring to make connection to the municipal sanitary sewer <br />system shall apply to the Village for a permit for such connection. The application <br />shall be submitted on blanks furnished by the Village Clerk -Treasurer and shall be <br />accompained by plans, specifications and such other information as the said Clerk - <br />Treasurer requires, together with a permit and inspection fee as determined by the <br />Village Council. All Costs and expenses incident to the installation and connection <br />shall be borne by the owner and the owner shall indemnify the Village for any loss <br />or damage that may, directly or indirectly, be occasioned by the installation of <br />the sewer connection including restoring streets and street surfaces. <br />Any person, firm or corporation who shall commence work of any kind for which <br />a permit is required under this Ordinance, without first having received the <br />necessary permit therefor, shall, when subsequently securing such permit, be re= <br />quired to pay double the fees provided by this Ordinance for such permit and shall <br />be subject to all the penal provisions of this Ordinance. <br />(2) Permits shall only be issued when the applications show that the work <br />is to be done by persons, firms or corporations (other than the owner-occupany <br />of residential property) who have been duly licensed by the Village to engage in <br />
