Water Rates and Collection of Charges <br />SECTION 26. Accounts, How Kept. All accounts shall be kept <br />by the house and street number and under the account number assigned <br />thereto, and by the name of the owner or of the person signing the <br />application for service. All bills and notices shall be sent to <br />the house or street number of the property. If non-resident owners <br />or agents desire personal notice sent to a different address, they <br />shall file an application therefor with the Clerk -Treasurer. Any <br />error in address shall be promptly reported to the Clerk -Treasurer. <br />SECTION 27. Water Rates. <br />(1) The rate due and payable by <br />for water taken from the water system <br />19 73, shall be 48 cents <br />provided, however, that the <br />water user for each quarter <br />is furnished shall be <br />each user within the Village <br />commencing January 1 <br />per 1,000 gallons, payable quarterly, <br />minimum amount due and payable by each <br />year period during which water service <br />as follows <br />Meter Size Quarterly Minimum Charge <br />5/8 inch <br />1 inch <br />11 inch <br />2 inch <br />3 inch <br />4 inch <br />6 inch <br />8 inch <br />10 inch <br />12 inch <br />$ 6.40 <br />12.80 <br />25.60 <br />38.40 <br />76.80 <br />115.20 <br />192.00 <br />384.00 <br />576.00 <br />768.00 <br />The rates set forth in this paragraph shall be subject to change <br />by resolution of the Village Council. <br />(2) In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be <br />operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be <br />estimated in accordance with the amount used previously in com- <br />parable periods of the year. <br />(3) Where service is for less than a quarterly period, the <br />quarterly charge will be prorated on a monthly basis. <br />(4) Where a connection is made to an automatic sprinkler <br />system for standby service only on either municipal or private <br />water mains, a charge for such service shall be made on an annual <br />basis as follows: <br />
