15 <br />LARGE ALL ELECTRIC GENERAL SERVICE (Contd) <br />Power Factor Adjustment The customer shall at all times take and use power in <br />such manner that the average power factor shall be as near 100% as possible, <br />but when the average power factor is less than 80%, then the greatest 15-minute <br />load shall be adjusted by multiplying it by 807. and dividing the product thus <br />obtained by the average power factor expressed in percent. <br />The average power factor is defined to be the quotient obtained by dividing <br />the kilowatt-hours used during the month by the square root of the sum of the <br />squares of the kilowatt-hours used and the lagging reactive kilovolt -ampere - <br />hours supplied during the same period. Any leading kilovolt -ampere -hours sup- <br />plied during the period will not be considered in determining the average power <br />factor. <br />Special Requirements <br />The specifications for an Approved Space Heating Installation are as follows: <br />1. Electricity shall be the sole source of space heating in all areas <br />served through the meter. <br />2. At least 40% of the total connected load must be permanently connected <br />space heating equipment. <br />3. Company reserves the right to control the space heating load. <br />A <br />
