ORDINANCE NO. 71 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES aAk <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />'\ AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE STARTING OR ACCELERATING OF ANY MOTOR <br />VEHICLE WITH AN UNNECESSARY EXHIBITION OF SPEED; PROVIDING PENAL <br />TIES FOR VIOLATIONS. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, does ordain: <br />SECTION I. UNNECESSARY SPEED. No person shall start or <br />accelerate any motor vehicle with an unnecessary exhibition of <br />speed on any public or private way. Prima facie evidence of such <br />unnecessary exhibition of speed shall be unreasonable squealing <br />or screeching sounds emitted by the tires or the thorwing of sand <br />and gravel by the tires of said vehicle or both. <br />SECTION II. PENALTY. Any person who violates any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a petty misde- <br />meanor and shall be punished by a fine notto exceed $100.00. <br />SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be <br />effective upon its passage and publication according to law. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota, on this 14th day of January, 1980. <br />F.
