PALICO
PALICO INSTRUMENT laboratories
March 13, 1981
Edna L. Sarner
Clerk- Treasurer
City of Lino Lakes
1189 Main St.
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
7413 HIGHWAY 49
CIRCLE PINES, MINN. 55014
TEL. 612 - 786-2740
Re: Re -Zone by Glen Rehbein, Your Letter of March 9, 1981
Dear Mrs. Sarner:
We will be unable to attend your March 23, 1981 zoning meeting because
of prior committments.
Our activities would not be effected by light industrial activity in the area
shown but heavy industrial could be a problem. A high degree of concen-
tration is required for the assembly and test work which we do. High noise
levels or vibration from large motors, compressors, punch presses and
the like would cause problems due to the soil composition in this area which
transmits vibrations.
Local construction has caused difficulty in the past but that is transient in
nature. A plant location and activity which caused lights and walls to rattle
and vibrate would cause problems for us since it would effect work efficiency.
We, therefore, do object to the issuance of a zoning change to heavy industrial.
Very truly yours,
PALICO INSTRUMENT LABORATORIES
ALL:pm
Arden L. Lind
President
Instrumentation, Test and Control Systems
