Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment Regarding Multiple Principal Buildings on <br />Commercial, Industrial Parcels or Public/Semi-Public Zoning Districts <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruhland asked for clarification on the verbiage “operated as a single business or <br />enterprise.” Mr. Grochala explained the building is to be owned by one <br />person/company. <br /> <br />Mr. Root noted he previously had concerns about the phrase “single business” and <br />appreciated the new, concise definition. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle opened the Public Hearing at 6:38 PM <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing. Motion was supported by <br />Mr. Ruhland. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruhland made a MOTION to approve zoning ordinance text amendment <br />regarding multiple principal buildings on commercial, industrial parcels or <br />public/semi-public zoning districts. Motion supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br /> <br />B. Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment Providing for Construction of Retaining Walls <br />42” in Height or Greater <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson asked if there was a minimum height requirement. Mr. Grochala stated <br />that the City will be creating guidelines for staff and residents. Landscaping items are <br />not specifically addressed in the ordiancne. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson inquired on the cost of a wall permit. Mr. Grochala noted that the permit <br />is $67. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruhland asked for clarity on the 3 foot encorachment. Mr. Grochala stated city <br />ordinance requires drainage and utility easements to remain unobstructed. An <br />easement encroachment agreement may be allowed. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle opened the public hearing at 6:47 PM. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle a MOTION to close the public hearing. Motion was supposed by Mr. <br />Ruland. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruhland made a MOTION to recommend approval of the zoning ordinance text <br />amendment providing for construction of retaining walls 42” in height or greater. <br />Motion supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 4-0.
