Based on review of the current policy, staff is <br />61 presenting a recommendation to amend certain language regarding workers compensation. <br />62 Council Member Maher moved to approve the Personnel Policy update as recommended. Council <br />63 Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />64 3B) Consider 2nd Reading and Passage of Ordinance No. 02-19, Amending Chapter 208 of the <br />65 City Code relating to Public Safety Department <br />66 Item was deleted from the agenda. <br />67 <br />68 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />69 <br />70 4A) Consider approval of donation of wellness equipment to North Memorial — Public Safety <br />71 Director Swenson explained that staff is seeking permission to donate certain equipment that was <br />72 donated to the City and was located at Fire Station #1. The station is being remodeled and there is not <br />73 room for these items. Staff is supportive of the donation and future use of the equipment. <br />74 <br />75 Council Member Maher moved to approve the donation as recommended. Council Member Manthey <br />76 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />77 <br />78 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />79 <br />80 SA) Consider Resolution No. 1945, Accepting Bids and Awarding a Construction Contract <br />81 for Woods Edge Park —Public Services Director DeGardner asked that the council approve a <br />82 resolution that accepts the bids for the project and awards a construction contract to the low bidder. <br />83 <br />84 Council Member Rafferty asked why there is so much difference in the bids; what's the indication? <br />85 Mr. DeGardner said he had the same question and has been informed that the bids are normally based <br />86 on the contractor's availability so nothing unusual is indicated by the figures. <br />87 <br />2 <br />
