Fischer, PE <br />County Engineer <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />002-634-004 PROJECT MEMORANDUM <br />Date: April 29, 2019 <br />To: Diane Hankee <br />From: Nick Dobda <br />RE: Project Summary <br /> <br /> <br />Diane, <br /> <br />Below is a summary of SAP 002-634-004 – the reclamation / overlay of CSAH <br />34 (Birch Street) from Deerwood Lane to Centerville Road (CSAH 21) <br /> <br /> <br />• Construction expected to begin July 2019 end August 2019 <br />• Replace the twin culverts west of Wild Turkey Trail. <br />• Add 8’ shoulder near Pheasant Hills Drive (currently 0’ shoulder) <br />• Crown correction (super elevation) around White Oak Road <br />• Bring all trail intersections with City streets up to ADA standards. <br />• No right of way acquisition <br /> <br />The County considered various design chagnes to the corridor including right <br />in / right out access, bypass lanes, left turn lanes, and even a roundabout <br />option at Blackduck Drive. It was determined that these options were outside <br />the scope of the pavement rehabilitation project and would require ongoing <br />coordination between the City and County. For this reason, it was determined <br />that a reclaim / overlay project would move forward this year without any <br />significant changes to the corridor. <br /> <br />Anoka County will continue to work with residents and representatives from <br />the City of Lino Lakes to determine what improvements are the best fit for the <br />corridor. We will continue to seek out funding opportunities to fund such <br />improvements in the future. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
