(7) Permitted Uses. In the Light Industrial (LI) District, no building <br />or land shall be used and no building shall be erected, converted or <br />structurally altered except for one or more of the following uses. <br />(A) Any use permitted in a Commercial District that will not <br />interfere with proper development of a Light Industrial <br />District. <br />(B) Shops and offices for contractors including: plumbing, <br />heating, glazing, painting, paperhanging, roofing, ventila- <br />ting, electrical, carpentry, welding, landscaping, excavating, <br />and general contracting but not storage yards. <br />(C) Bottling establishments to include beverages such as soft <br />drinks, milk, etc., but not including hazardous or toxic <br />materials <br />(D) Light manufacturing including the following: <br />Canvas and canvas products <br />Clothing and other textile products not including <br />manufacturing of textiles <br />Manufacturing and assembly of electrical equipment, <br />appliances and supplies, manufacturing and assembly <br />of, but not to include heavy electrical machinery <br />(iv) Jewelry, clocks, watches <br />(v) Leather products including luggage and shoes <br />(vi) Medical and dental appliances and furniture <br />(vii) Drafting equipment <br />(viii) Optical goods <br />(ix) Musical instruments <br />(x) Small products from the following previously prepared <br />materials: cork, feathers, felt, fur, glass, hair, horn, <br />paper, plastics, shells <br />(xi) Tool, die and pattern -making and similar small <br />machine shops <br />(xii) Custom wood products <br />(xiii) Bicycles and toys <br />(xiv) Ceramic products <br />(xv) Candy and tobacco products <br />(xvi) Sporting equipment <br />97 <br />
