.1kJ <br />Minutes of the Meeting of the Council of Lino Lakes, Oct. 10, 1961 <br />Members present were Mayor Kelling, Trustees Roes and Juleen; Clerk <br />Rosengren. Trustee- Nadeau absent. <br />Minutes of the preceding meeting were read and on motion by Ross, second <br />by Juleen, they be accepted as read. All in favor. <br />Minutes of special meeting held Sept. 29, 1961 were read and on motion <br />by Juleen, second by Kelling, they be accepted as read. All in favor. <br />Minutes of special meeting held' Oct,. 3, 1961 were read and corrected, and <br />on motion by Juleen, second by Kelling, they be accepted as read. All <br />in favor. <br />The Governor's conference on Metropolitan problems will be held in St. Paul. <br />The Civil Defense Director f'equested permission to attend C. D. work shop <br />that will be held at the same time. Motion by Ross, Second by Julbem <br />the Village pay registration fee and dinner cost to persons attending <br />this meeting. All in favor. <br />Mayor Kelling read a letter form Mayor Ek of Circle Pines informing the <br />Village of m. meeting to be held October 24, at Centennial School concerning <br />sewage problems of this area. <br />T Rropesed gas franchise. with Circle Pines was read. Motion by Rose, <br />second by Juleen,. to grant a non-exculsive gas franchise to Circle Pines. <br />1 in favor. <br />Trustee Ross reported:that the -County had taken over the remainder of <br />Birch Street_. Reiling Road had been graded and graveled. Stop suns <br />had been installed on Birch and 12th, and Ware Road and Birch Street. <br />The -snow plow had been purchased for $275.00. The Guilford Corporation <br />proposed to repair and grade 74th Ave nue to a 24 ft. top if the Village <br />would furnish a 32 foot 12 inch culvert and allow them to use excess dirt <br />for fill. Motion by Ross,. second by Rosengren to accept this proposal. <br />All in favor. <br />They also proposed to fix 4th Avenue from 74th Street to Lilac. This <br />proposal was deferred until the Village engineer could inspect the road <br />and confer with the officials at the Youth Center. <br />Trustee Ross felt that the building code should be amended ao as to have <br />some control over fa m buildings, this was referred to the Planning <br />and Zoning Board. <br />The treasurer reported a cash balance of $8697.11. <br />Earl Webb asked that the warming house be set on a block foundation, <br />additional lighting and bulldozing of a skating rink at the village park <br />on Lake Drive. I'Iotion by Kelling, second by Juleen to have said work done. <br />L11 in favor. <br />astable Raymond recommended that the Village sign ancontract with the <br />E Patrol for animal control in the Village. Motion by Kelling, <br />pond by Juleen, to enter into this contract. All in favor. <br />Lion by Juleen, second by Ross, that the constables spend a day with <br />e B & E Patrol to canvass as much of the Village as Possible. <br />1 in favor. <br />hr. and Mrs. Keefe from Reiling Road attended the meetingto thank the <br />Council for the fine work done on the roads in their are. <br />
