Page -4- March 14, 1977 <br />any additional Holidays or more insurance benefits, he would expect the Police Depart- <br />ment to be provided the same. <br />Mr. Karth said then the only item not agreed upon was the Clerk's salary. Mr. Schneider <br />said the City's offer was a result of a study of the Personnel Commission that puts <br />that salary above the average for that position. The Other employees are below average <br />and it was an attempt to equalize the salaries to all employees. <br />After some discussion on this matter, Mr. McLean moved to accept this proposal as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Locher said he had talked with Mr. Kronholm in reference to the park land dedicat- <br />ion in Lakes Additions #I, 2 and 3. He has also written to Mr. Meyer, Attorney for Mr. <br />Kronholm, informing him of these requirements. The townhouse plat will be used in the <br />overall computations for acreage. Mr. Locher said he had mentioned the area by the creek <br />and Mr. Kronholm did not seem to have any problems with the suggestion. Mr. Locher will <br />keep the Council informed on this matter. <br />On the matter of Mr. Rehbein's problem, Mr. Locher felt this is not a Council involvement. <br />There is a problem of the Escrow firm. He felt that Mr. Rehbein could sue the person. <br />He also suggested the City could withhold the issuance of any further hook up permits <br />unless the person shows evidence of payment into the escrow fund. <br />After some discussion, Mr. McLean moved to write a letter stating that no hook up per- <br />mits will be issued until the resident pFesents evidence of payment to Mr. Rehbein. <br />Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Locher will compose this letter. <br />Mr. Gotwald reported that he had sent all the material requested to Mr. Starr. He had <br />also set a letter to the PCA and to Centerville requesting permission to hook into the <br />Centerville interceptor. <br />The Clerk had received a copy of the proposed Centerville interceptor. Mr. Gotwald had <br />checked this p ,fnt and recommended approval. Mr. McLean so moved. Seconded by Mr. Karth. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Gotwald said he will open the bids on the LaMotte sewers at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, <br />March 18, 1977. He will analyze the bids and have a report for the next Council meeting. <br />Mr. Locher received Council authorization to attend the Physical Development hearing <br />on March 17, 1977. <br />Chief Myhre asked if the Council members had had a chance to review the specs he had <br />presented for a new patrol car and most Council members had not. He felt that the ad- <br />vertising for bids should be authorized now in order to get this car before the 1978 <br />models go into production. <br />There was discussion on the vehicle and what advantages there would be with this type <br />rather than a sedan. Mr. Karth moved to submit the specs for bids to be opened at 12:00 <br />Noon on April II, 1977 for inspection purposes. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion carr- <br />ied unanimously. <br />Chief Myhre also recommended tha animal control be hired for one extra hour per week <br />for the months of April, May and June. <br />
