2020 BUDGET ‐ NEW REQUEST

12TH AVENUE TRAIL ‐ $200,000
The trail gap along the east side of 12th Avenue was
originally discussed with the City Council during the
November 7, 2016 work session. Since then, area
residents have aƩended several City Council Work
Sessions (October 2018, December 2018, and May
2019) regarding the need to complete the 12th Ave-
nue Trail. The gap creates an unsafe situaƟon and
hinders pedestrian access to Brandywood Park.
CompleƟon of the 12th Avenue Trail is idenƟfied
within the Comprehensive Parks and Trails System
Capital Improvement Plan.

The City Council directed staff to include this in the
draŌ 2020 budget. Staff recommends funding as
follows:
Park and Trail Improvement Fund - $125,000
Dedicated Parks Fund - $50,000
State Aid (Land AcquisiƟon) - $25,000

127
