Additional funds would also allow supervisors to schedule more training for other <br />classes related to communication and customer service. <br />Benefits if done:Would enable staff to keep enhancing their skills and provide better customer service. <br />Implications if not done:Staff will not be at the skill level they should be. <br />2 <br />Account #:4410 Amount (neg if decrease)$2,580 <br />CONTRACTED SERVICES <br />Description of Adjustment:Staff is requesting the purchase of an annual subscription to NeoGov Insight Enterprise to <br />automate the City's recruitment process, which would eliminate a significant amount of staff <br />time and resources on standard procedural recruitment steps. The annual subscription cost <br />would be $3,491 annually. There is also an initial one-time setup fee of $1,500. <br />Benefits if done:A lot of time and resources are spent receiving applications, communicating with candidates, <br />rating applications, sending denial letters, and scheduling interviews. With this system, <br />staff will be able to expedite the recruitment process, provide candidates with timely <br />feedback, and would provide candidates a streamlined online process through a professional <br />web-based application system. <br />Implications if not done:Staff time/resources will be spent on tasks that can be automated. In 2018, more than 30 <br />positions went through a recruitment process, with the largest number being summer <br />seasonal employees. This equated to more than 340 hours (42.5 work days) spent on the <br />recruitment process that could be automated. <br />17
