2018 ANNUAL REPORT <br />Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization <br />H <br />H <br />V <br />W <br />ce <br />0 <br />V <br />6 GRANT PROGRAMS <br />Project Name <br />Landscape Level 1 <br />Landscape Level 2 <br />Description <br />Establish relationships and provide grants to property owners <br />within the watershed to install water quality enhancement projects. <br />Landscape Level 2 Cost Share Program is aimed at assisting <br />landowners with implementing larger BMP projects within <br />the watershed. Preference for projects that have high visibility, <br />educational value and/or local citizen support. <br />it PUBLIC EDUCATION AND OUTREACH <br />Project Name <br />Watershed <br />Action <br />Volunteers <br />(WAV) <br />Workshops <br />Description <br />WAV is a group of volunteer residents that assist with idea development <br />and implementation of outreach opportunities and projects. <br />A new stormdrain stenciling program will allow volunteer groups such <br />as scouts and youth groups to protect our water through stenciling <br />service projects. A new "Adopt -a -Drain" program educates residents <br />and businesses the importance of adopting a stormdrain. WAV also <br />strives to encourage awareness and interaction with local water <br />resources using phenology and basic environmental monitoring. <br />Hold raingarden workshops for residents covering watershed <br />processes, raingarden function, and installation how-to.
