Review Regular City Council Meeting Agenda of July 22, 2019 — <br />16 <br />17 Consent Agenda — Expenditures — Council Member Stoesz asked if the can receptacle at <br />18 Fire Station #1 is producing revenue. Public Services Director DeGardner said it is very <br />19 slowly bringing in revenue. <br />20 <br />21 Item SA —Reject Bids for Well House No. 1 Rehab —City Engineer reviewed the <br />22 elements of the rehab project. Bids came in higher than the budgeted amount so staff is <br />23 recommending that the bids be rejected for city budget considerations and to put together <br />24 a bid process for next year. <br />25 <br />26 Item 6A — Water Tower No 3 Project— City Engineer Hankee explained that this project <br />27 is ready to move forward for bids. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Stoesz asked about the possibility of lighting the City logo/name on the <br />30 water tower as part of this project? Ms. Hankee said the council could still move forward <br />31 tonight and add that element along the way. Community Development Director <br />32 Grochala remarked that this tower will be located in a residential area so light may be <br />33 invasive; the other water towers may be better choices if the council is interested in <br />34 lighting. The council asked staff to investigate the possibility and report back (including <br />35 locations where lighting is being used). <br />36 <br />37 2. Pledge of Allegiance Discussion -Mayor Reinert noted that the City Code includes <br />38 some language but only within the "order of business" section. He thinks it might be a <br />39 good idea to better define the council's intent. <br />40 <br />41 The council directed staff to put together a resolution that better defines the language of <br />42 the Pledge, includes the advisory board and enforcing the council's intent. <br />43 <br />44 Economic Development Authority (EDA) meeting — Community Development <br />15 Director Grochala reviewed the proposed actions and updated the council on the current <br />
