Review Regular City Council Agenda of August 26, 2019 <br />16 Item 6A — 2019 Water Tower No. 3 Project, Accept Bids and Award Construction <br />17 Contract —City Engineer Hankee reviewed elements of the project, alternates for the <br />18 project, and the bid process/low bidder. She noted that Greg Johnson, WSB & <br />19 Associates, was present to answer specific questions. Completion is proposed for <br />20 August 2021. <br />21 Item 6B —East Cedar Street & 24th AvenuelElmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project, <br />22 Reject bids and Authorize rebid —City Engineer Hankee explained that, in working with <br />23 the City of Hugo, the bid process brought in bids that were high. Staff is recommending <br />24 that the City concur with the city of Hugo in rejecting bids and setting up a rebid process <br />25 for next year. Staff anticipates savings related to doing so. Mayor Reinert asked if the <br />26 residents have been informed and Ms. Hankee explained, that with council approval, staff <br />27 intends to put out a mailing tomorrow. <br />28 Item 6C -Pavement Management Rating, Update —Community Development Director <br />29 Grochala said this is an annual process of rating streets. He added that staff is preparing <br />30 a map that will indicate work done since 2005.
