CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 19-33 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EAST CEDAR STREET & 24TH AVENUE/ELMCREST AVENUE NORTH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes and the City of Hugo entered into a Joint Powers Agreement to complete roadway improvements on 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue from Tart Lake Road to the south a distance of 2,300 feet, and East Cedar Street from Otter Lake Road to the east a distance of 2,600 feet; and WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement outlines that the East Cedar Street improvements are the financial responsibility of the City of Lino Lakes and the 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue improvements are the financial responsibility of the City of Hugo; and WHEREAS, the City Council is ordering the project finding that it would be in the best interest of the City to proceed with the preparation of plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, WSB and Associates, the City Engineer, has submitted a proposal to prepare plans and specifications. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: 1. Authorizes the Preparation of the Plans and Specifications for the East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project. 2. WSB and Associates are designated as the engineer for this improvement and directed to prepare plans and specifications for the East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue Improvement Project for an amount not to exceed $128,968.00. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of March, 2019.
