1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee PE, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: July 8 , 2019 <br />TOPIC: Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation <br />i) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 08-19, Vacating <br />Right-of-Way, Drainage, and Utility Easements, Saddle Club <br />4th Addition <br /> *Council may vote to dispense with the full reading of the ordinance <br /> *Roll call vote is required for adoption of the ordinance <br /> <br />ii) Consider Resolution No. 19-82, Approving Summary <br />Publication of Ordinance No. 08-19 <br /> <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 4/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting City Council consider the 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 08-19, vacating <br />right-of-way, drainage, and utility easements lying over, under and across the area described as: <br /> <br />“The South 550.00 feet of the East 330.00 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest <br />Quarter of Section 28, Township 31, Range 22, Anoka County, Minnesota.” <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Saddle Club is a PUD residential subdivision located southeast of the intersection of Old Birch <br />Street and Pheasant Run South. The applicant is requesting this right-of-way, drainage, and <br />utility easements be vacated to remove underlying easements concurrent to the Saddle Club 4th <br />Addition final plat. Revised easements will be re-dedicated on the final plat of Saddle Club 4th <br />Addition. The City Council has approved similar vacations with previous final plats with past <br />developments. <br /> <br />The Easement Vacation Description Sketch prepared by E.G. Rud & Sons. Inc. on February 26, <br />2019 detailing the proposed right-of-way and drainage and utility area to be vacated is <br />enclosed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
