MEETING DATE: August 26, 2019 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 19-108, Authorizing Update of <br />Pavement Management Ratings <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration of a professional services agreement with WSB & <br />Associates to update the City’s Pavement Management Ratings. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />As part of the City’s Pavement Management program 25% of the City Street mileage is <br />inspected and rated annually. This data is recorded in the pavement management database using <br />PAVER software. The collected information is then used to develop the Pavement Condition <br />Index (PCI) for all the roads within the City. The PCI is one of the determining factors used to <br />develop our annual preservation, mill and overlay and street reconstruction program. <br /> <br />The City Engineer, WSB & Associates, has submitted a proposal to update the plan for the not to <br />exceed amount of $9,764. Funding for the study will come from the Pavement Management <br />Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 19-108. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
