Review Regular City Council Agenda of August 26, 2019 15 <br />Item 6A – 2019 Water Tower No. 3 Project, Accept Bids and Award Construction 16 <br />Contract – City Engineer Hankee reviewed elements of the project, alternates for the 17 <br />project, and the bid process/low bidder. She noted that Greg Johnson, WSB & 18 <br />Associates, was present to answer specific questions. Completion is proposed for 19 <br />August 2021. 20 <br />Item 6B – East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project, 21 <br />Reject bids and Authorize rebid – City Engineer Hankee explained that, in working with 22 <br />the City of Hugo, the bid process brought in bids that were high. Staff is recommending 23 <br />that the City concur with the city of Hugo in rejecting bids and setting up a rebid process 24 <br />for next year. Staff anticipates savings related to doing so. Mayor Reinert asked if the 25 <br />residents have been informed and Ms. Hankee explained, that with council approval, staff 26 <br />intends to put out a mailing tomorrow. 27 <br />Item 6C - Pavement Management Rating, Update – Community Development Director 28 <br />Grochala said this is an annual process of rating streets. He added that staff is preparing 29 <br />a map that will indicate work done since 2005.
