CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-106 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS AND AUTHRIZING REBID FOR 2020 <br />CONSTRUCTION FOR THE EAST CEDAR STREET & 24TH AVENUE/ELMCREST <br />AVENUE NORTH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the East Cedar Street & <br />24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project, bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; <br />and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BID <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$777,551.60 <br />Park Construction Company <br />$798,539.20 <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br />$849,651.80 <br />Dresel Contracting, Inc. <br />$892,514.46 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that T.A. Shifsky & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids received were more than the project budget as determined by the engineer's <br />estimate; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the City to reject the <br />bids and rebid the project at a later date. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The bids received are hereby rejected. The City Clerk is authorized to return the bid bonds <br />to the contractors. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of August, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor the <br />Maher, Manthey, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reine: <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Jttlid1ne Bartell, City/Clerk <br />
