CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-107 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS, AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, <br />2019 WATER TOWER NO. 3 PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2019 Water Tower <br />No. 3 Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />CONTRACTOR <br />BASE BID with ALT 1 <br />Landmark Structures <br />$4,067,000.00 <br />McDermott <br />$4,128,000.00 <br />Phoenix Fabricators and Erectors <br />$4,484,500.00 <br />Caldwell Tanks, Inc. <br />$4,634,000.00 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Landmark Structures is the lowest responsible bidder of the Base Bid <br />and Alternate 1 with Substantial Completion of August 2, 2021; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the city to proceed with <br />the construction oversight and administration, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Landmark Structures in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2019 <br />Water Tower No. 3 Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />3. Awards the construction services contract with KLM Engineering and WSB and Associates <br />in the amount of $270,887.00. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of August, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Manthey, Stoesz, Maher, Reinert <br />
