CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-161 <br />AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT FOR AN OUTDOOR ICE FISHING <br />EVENT HOST BY THE CENTERVILLE LIONS <br />WHEREAS. the President of the Centerville Lions has submitted an application for a Special <br />Event Permit, Exempt Gambling Permit and a 1-4 Day Temporary Liquor License; and <br />WHEREAS, the event is planned for February 15, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and <br />includes an ice fishing contest on Centerville Lake, raffle, food and alcohol on the lake; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of the event, the applicant would like to allow consumption of alcoholic <br />beverages to be served in an area designated on the lake; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has indicated that they will be servings food and therefore required to <br />obtain a Temporary Food License from the Anoka County Environmental Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will <br />receive a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br />WHEREAS, the permit has been approved by the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department with <br />certain conditions and recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has obtained a Water/Ice Use Permit from the Anoka County <br />Sheriffs office; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has obtained a DNR Permit to Conduct a Fishing Tournament; and <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability and liquor liability insurance has been submitted by the <br />applicant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby approves the request of Gregory Kieselhorst, President of the Centerville Lions, for a <br />special event permit on February 15t", 2020 with the conditions recommended by the Public <br />Safety Department. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of November, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member stoesz and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Manthey, Stoesz, Maher, Rafferty, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />
