CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13-107 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT WEED <br />ABATEMENT CHARGES TO BE COLLECTEDWITH THE 2013PROPERTY TAXES <br />PAYABLE IN 2014 <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to City Code Section 904, any weeds or grass growing upon any lot <br />or parcel ofland in theCity of Lino Lakes to a greater height than eight (8”), or which have gone or <br />about to goto seed are declared to be a nuisance;and <br />WHEREAS, <br />certain property owners in noncompliance with such code requirements were <br />notified and provided the opportunityto comply with such provisions;and <br />WHEREAS, <br />upon failure of the property owner to comply with the provisions of said notice, <br />the City Weed Inspector ordered the abatement of such nuisance, in accordance with the City Code <br />Section 904, and charged the property owner thereof forexpenses incurred by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />certain properties are delinquent in the payment of such charges;and <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk has prepared a list of properties with delinquent charges to be <br />certified to the Anoka County Auditor for collection with the 2013property taxes, payable in 2014;and <br />WHEREAS <br />, notice of such certification was mailed to affected property owners; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, the City Council has met to consider the certification of such delinquentcharges; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br />by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that <br />the Clerk is hereby authorized to certify thedelinquentcharges attached hereto as Exhibit “A”to <br />the Anoka County Auditor to be collected with the 2013property taxes, payable in 2014at an <br />interest rate of 8.00% per annum. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this ___ day of _______, 2013. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_______________and was duly seconded by Council Member ________________ and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />_______________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br /> <br />
