CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR:Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE:October 14, 2013 <br />TOPIC:Amending Resolution No. 13-106, Appointing Additional <br />Election Judges <br />VOTE REQUIRED:3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City of Lino Lakes will conduct a municipal election on November 5, 2013 to elect a <br />mayor and two council members. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The governing body of a municipality has the authority to appoint qualified applicants to serve <br />as election judges. On September 23, 2013, the council approved a list of qualified <br />individualswho will be trained to serve as Lino Lakes’ Election Judges for the 2013 General <br />Election. Staff is recommending that two additional judges be added to that list. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that Resolution No. 13-106be amended by appointingtwo additional <br />election judges for the November 5, 2013 Municipal General Election. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Election Judge Roster(updated) <br /> <br />
