CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />TITLE:Scanning Operator <br />DEPARTMENT:Administration <br />SUPERVISOR:City Administrator <br />STATUS:Temporary Part-Time <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION <br />This position performs administrative support functions, including producing digital copies of <br />documents for retention purposes and organizing scanned documents on various local, network, <br />and cloud storage devices. <br />ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br />1.Operates the Laserfiche document imaging system. <br />2.Analyzes and prepares documents in order to produce the best resolution for scanned <br />reproductions. <br />3.Inputs appropriate setting onto scanner computer screen and enters descriptive data by <br />manipulating a mouse or typing from a keyboard. <br />4Scans documents to reproduce as hard copies or as soft copies to be stored on CDs or <br />secure server for future retrieval. <br />5.Reorganizes or destroysoriginal documentsafter scanning is completed. <br />These examples are intended only as illustrative of various types of work performed, and are not <br />all inclusive. The job description is subject to change as the needs of the employer and <br />requirements of the job change. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,AND ABILITIES <br />1.Ability to work with computers and computer storage systems. <br />2.Knowledge of document retention systems. <br />3.Basic computer literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office applications). <br />4.Ability to work in a repetitive job that requires focus and attention to detail. <br /> <br />
