Review Regular Agenda of October 28, 2019 – 15 <br />Item 3A, Ordinance relating to Small Wireless Facilities – Administrator Karlson 16 <br />recalled that the council reviewed this ordinance with attorney Mike Bradley a few 17 <br />months ago. He noted two changes from the last discussion: Verizon requested several 18 <br />revisions and after attorney review, staff is concurring with two changes; other changes 19 <br />were felt to be covered already. He noted the two changes. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Reinert asked about what the units would look like and how they would be placed. 22 <br />Items 3B and 3C, Appointment of Personnel – Human Resources Manager 23 <br />Bartholomew reviewed the recommendations: 24 <br />Environmental Coordinator – Andrew Nelson is recommended for appointment to fill the 25 <br />vacancy that will be created by the retirement of Marty Asleson. Ms. Bartholomew 26 <br />reviewed his education and experience. 27 <br />Police Officer – Matthew Carlson is recommended for appointment to fill a vacant police 28 <br />officer position. His education and experience were reviewed. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Item 4A, Sale of Fire Pagers – Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed his request to 31 <br />sell the system that is no longer used and obsolete under the current system. There are 32 <br />three agencies in Minnesota that are interested in purchasing the units, at a cost of $200 33 <br />each. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Item 6A, Passage of Ordinance Rezoning property for Direct Bore, Inc. (502 and 36 <br />510 Lilac Street) – City Planner Larsen reviewed the rezoning request. The ordinance 37 <br />was fully reviewed for first reading at the last council meeting. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Item 6B, Watermark 2nd Addition – City Planner Larsen noted that this is the next 40 <br />phase of the development, encompassing 57 units. She updated on the council on status 41 <br />of phase one; some permits have been issued. 42 <br /> 43
