O F <br /> IN KE <br /> DATE : March 4, 2020 <br /> TO : Park Board Members <br /> FROM : Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> RE : Woods Edge Park Update <br /> Since the last update, the City Council approved a contract with Northland Recreation , Inc . to <br /> provide the design and equipment for the Woods Edge Park Playground Project via Sourcewell <br /> ( formerly NJPA ) . Sourcewell is a public corporation serving as a municipal contracting agency for <br /> government and education agencies . Sourcewell serves member agencies under the legislative <br /> authority established and granted by Minnesota Statute 123A . 21 . This agreement fulfills the <br /> competitive solicitation and contract process required of governmental agencies . <br /> Staff utilized this process with the successful 2018 Birch Park Playground Project and 2019 Sunrise <br /> Park Playground Project . Northland Recreation , Inc . also provided the playground equipment and <br /> park shelter at NorthPointe Park . <br /> The $ 75 , 000 contract with Northland Recreation Inc . is for the design and supply of playground <br /> equipment, concrete for in -ground footings , wear mats, and the provision of a certified <br /> playground installer .
