CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20-16 <br />APPROVING CONTRACT WITH NORTHLAND RECREATION INC. FOR <br />WOODS EDGE PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT <br />WHEREAS, Woods Edge Park is a new neighborhood park adjacent to the YMCA on <br />Regional Park property; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is requesting council consideration to approve a contract with <br />Northland Recreation Inc. in the amount of $75,000 for the design and supply of <br />playground equipment, concrete for in -ground footings, wear mats, and the provision of a <br />certified playground installer at Woods Edge Park; and <br />WHEREAS, Sourcewell is a public corporation serving as a municipal contracting <br />agency for government and education agencies. Sourcewell serves member agencies <br />under the legislative authority established and granted by Minnesota Statute 123A.21; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Sourcewell fulfills the competitive solicitation and contract process <br />required of governmental agencies; and <br />WHEREAS, recommended funding is from the Dedicated Parks Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council hereby authorizes staff to <br />enter into a contract with Northland Recreation Inc. in the amount of $75,000 for the <br />design, equipment, and provision of a certified playground installer for the Woods Edge <br />Park Playground Project. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 24th day of February, 2020. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member <br />Ruhland and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Ruhland, Stoesz, Rafferty, Byden <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />3uli e Bartell, City Cler <br />and <br />
