COUNCIL MINUTES <br />78 <br />79 <br />80 <br />APPROVED <br />Councilmember Stoesz asked what causes roots to overtake the trails in some areas and not others. <br />Mr. Degardner suggested that he believes it relates to the soil in most cases. The plans included in <br />this year's program to cut some roots will be a new preventative measure used by the City. <br />81 Councilmember Cavegn asked about preventative measures in the past and Mr. eGardner noted that <br />82 typically this maintenance has been just mill and overlay; the concept of root cutting is hoped to <br />83 provide long term impact. <br />84 Councilmember Lyden moved to approve Resolution No. 2049 as presented. Councilmember <br />85 Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />86 B} Lift Station No. 5 >� orcemain Project Restoration: i} Consider Resolution No. 20-54, <br />87 Accepting Quotes, Pavement Restoration; ii} Consider Resolution No. 20-58, Accepting <br />88 Quotes, Concrete Restoration — Public Services Director DeGardner explained that the two <br />89 resolutions would allow staff to accept quotes for two projects. He noted the low quotes received, <br />90 the work proposed and how the work will be funded.
