COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br />41 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />42 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />43 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />44 SA) Consider Resolution 20-929 Authorize the Advertisement for Bids for the 2020 Lino <br />45 Lakes Facilities Touchless Entry Upgrades — Public Services Director DeGardner reviewed his <br />46 written report requesting authorization to adverstise for bids for the touchless entry upgrades <br />47 proposed for City facilities. The cost of these upgrades should be fully covered through the <br />48 CARES Act grant funds that have been received by the City. Mr. DeGardner reviewed the <br />49 proposed work that will provide for touchless entry at City buildings. <br />5o Councilmember Lyden thanked Mr. DeGardner for the quick work in getting this project together so <br />51 that it can be considered for grant funding. <br />52 Councilmember Stoesz asked that staff ensure that the work have as long a warranty as possible. <br />53 The council heard information from the City Administrator on use of the City's portion of CARES <br />54 Act funds. Ms. Cotton explained the deadline and that staff is following the rules for grant funding <br />55 as they are currently being provided. <br />56 Director DeGardner added that staff is also looking at adding card access points where that is <br />57 appropriate. <br />58 Councilmember Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 20-92 as presented. Councilmember <br />59 Lydell seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />6o COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br />61 6A) Consider Resolution No. 20-91 Approving Variances for Building Setbacks and Fence <br />62 Height for 6508 West Shadow Lake Drive - City Planner Larsen reviewed a PowerPoint <br />63 presentation including information on the following <br />64 - Applicant (Anoka County Highway Department) on behalf of properly owners; <br />65 - Variances are required for Birch Street Improvement Project roundabout at intersection of <br />66 West Shadow Lake Road; <br />67 - Much work done with properties owners to find best approach; <br />68 - The roundabout project will leave a lot that is not compliant to City requirements in size; the <br />69 variances would make the existing house and structures conforming; <br />70 - Variance locations shown on a map; <br />71 - The property owners also requested a berm and fence that require a variance; <br />72 - Findings of Fact; <br />73 - Planning and Zoning Board has approved. <br />2 <br />
