• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20-13 <br />ACCEPTING BASE BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />EAST CEDAR STREET & 24TH AVENUE/ELMCREST AVENUE NORTH <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the East Cedar Street & <br />24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project, bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; <br />and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BASE BID <br />TOTAL BID + ALTERNATE 1 <br />North Valley, Inc <br />$700,636.80 <br />$1,169,180.14 <br />Northwest <br />$825,906.83 <br />$1,253,547.98 <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$819,599.96 <br />$1,275,054.00 <br />Meyer Contracting, Inc. <br />$968,304.25 <br />$1,301,690.81 <br />Park Construction Company <br />$906,917.31 <br />$1,367,307.25 <br />Dresel Contracting, Inc. <br />$865,636.67 <br />$1,437,206.84 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that North Valley, Inc, is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, The Base Bid is deemed acceptable to the City of Hugo, and the City of Hugo <br />recommends that Lino Lakes enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said <br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Hugo for the base bid only. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with North <br />Valley, Inc, in the amount of $700,636.80 by the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the <br />Base Bid construction of the East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North <br />Improvement Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of March, 2020. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Lyden and was duly seconded by Council Member Ruhland and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Lyden, Ruhland, Stoesz, Cavegn, Rafferty <br />
