• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20-32 <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INTERIM BUILDING OFFICIAL AND <br />APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR BUILDING <br />OFFICIAL SERVICES <br />Whereas, there is currently a vacancy in the City's building official position; and, <br />Whereas, pursuant to City Code, the City must have an appointed building official; and, <br />Whereas, existing staff are not certified, therefore cannot be appointed; and, <br />Whereas, staff will need to enter into a service agreement for building official services; and, <br />Whereas, staff recommends entering into a service agreement with MNSpect for building <br />official services in the interim; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Lino Lakes <br />that the service contract with MNSpect for professional services is hereby approved. <br />FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Lino Lakes that <br />MNSpect is hereby appointed as the interim building official for the City until the building <br />official vacancy is filled. <br />• <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of March 2020. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br />Lyden and was duly seconded by Councilmember Ruhland and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: Lyden, Ruhland, Cavegn, Rafferty <br />The following voted against same: Stoesz <br />ATTEST: <br />ulia e Bartell, City Clerk <br />f <br /><7,f4. <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />
