• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20-38 <br />AMENDING THE JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE NORTH METRO TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is a member of the North Metro Telecommunications <br />Commission (the "Commission"), a municipal joint powers entity organized pursuant to a Joint <br />and Cooperative Agreement, as amended (the "JPA"), adopted by the Cities of Blaine, Centerville, <br />Circle Pines, Ham Lake, Lexington, Lino Lakes, and Spring Lake Park, Minnesota (the "Member <br />Cities") pursuant to Minn Stat. § 471.59; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has reviewed and unanimously recommended certain changes to <br />the JPA contained in Attachment A to update Commission membership eligibility and weighted <br />voting, to clarify the use of PEG Fees to pay for certain expenses, and to eliminate archaic language <br />that was no longer applicable to the Commission or its Member Cities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that <br />the Joint and Cooperative Agreement for the Administration of a cable communications system <br />shall be amended as noted in Attachment A. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of April 2020. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br />Lyden and was duly seconded by Councilmember Stoesz and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: <br />Lyden, Stoesz, Ruhland, Cavegn, Rafferty <br />The following voted against same: <br />None <br />ATTEST: <br />Jui. i e Bartell, City Clerk <br />t"•t2-41-7-n,„,* <br />Rob afferty, Mayor <br />
