• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20-45 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ALLINA AMBULANCE AS THE PRIMARY <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE FOR CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB) is <br />empowered to regulate and assign a Primary Service Area (PSA) for all ambulance services in <br />the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, EMSRB PSA maps #0087 and #0057 demonstrate an overlap that covers the entire <br />City of Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, when ambulance PSA overlap occurs, local jurisdictions are authorized to select <br />the ambulance service that meets the local jurisdictions ambulance needs; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has conducted extensive research on the topic to determine which ambulance <br />provider is best suited to provide high quality services in the City of Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Dispatch Center requires a formal action by the governing body <br />of local jurisdiction to change ambulance provider dispatching protocols. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota establishes Allina Ambulance Service as the primary ambulance provider for City of <br />Lino Lakes, effective June 1, 2020. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 1 lth day of May 2020. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br />Lyden and was duly seconded by Councilmember Ruhland and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: Lyden, Ruhland, Stoesz, Cavegn, Rafferty <br />The following voted against same: None <br />AT 1'b;ST: <br />e Bartell, City lerk <br />
