• CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 20-50 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AIR DUCT AND DIFFUSER CLEANING AT CIVIC COMPLEX CONTRACT WHEREAS, As a result of concerns brought forth from some employees within the Public Safety Department, Industrial Hygiene Services Corporation (IHES) was retained to conduct indoor air quality and fungal sampling at the Police Department; WHEREAS, The sampling occurred on April 28, 2020. The results of the fungal spore samples showed that there is not an indoor fungal air quality problem. All the indoor air quality parameters were also within all regulations and recommendations. The only abnormal results were the fungal tease tape sample collected from the supply diffuser; WHEREAS, IHES recommends that all supply diffusers within the Civic Complex be cleaned; WHEREAS, In addition, we are recommending all supply and return air ducts in the Police Department be cleaned; WHEREAS, NAC Mechanical has obtained two quotes to clean all diffusers in the Civic Complex, and clean the supply and return air ducts at the Police Department; WHEREAS, Staff recommends accepting the NAC proposal that includes subcontracting with KMS Air Duct Cleaning in the amount of $11,065.00; WHEREAS, Funding will be from the General Fund Operating Contingency. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes hereby approves the air duct and diffuser cleaning at civic complex contract in the amount of $11,065.00. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of May, 2020.
