• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: November 23, 2020 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 20-139, Amending Adopted Assessments, <br />2020 Individual Properties <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration to approve the amendment to the assessment roll to <br />include additional properties where the owners have requested connection to City utilities and <br />have entered into a Petition and Waiver Agreement. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 26, 2020, the City Council approved Resolution No. 20-118, adopting the 2020 <br />Individual Assessment Roll. Since this time, additional individual assessments have been <br />processed. The property owners have submitted signed waivers, which waive their rights to a <br />hearing and waive their rights to appeal under the Lino Lakes City Charter and/or Minnesota <br />Statute 429 provided that the assessment associated with the improvement is levied against their <br />property. We have amended the assessment roll for the following individual properties, which has <br />requested connection to city utilities: <br />798 Main Street <br />7181 Sunrise Drive <br />656 Sandpiper Drive <br />6856 West Shadow Lake Drive <br />The total amount to be assessed is $94,527.00. Attached is the proposed assessment roll. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 20-139, Amending Adopted Assessments, <br />2020 Individual Properties. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
